I had never heard of Voice Thread before this class and I am so glad I am getting the exposure. It seems to have endless possibilities and can be an incredible tool in the classroom. One of the threads I found was the reading of 'The Three Little Pigs', this is a story that can get a little over told. Who hasn't heard the tale? Implementing the famous folk tale into a voice thread is genius, this allows students to show there reading proficiency and also be creative with the story. I am a reading specialist major so I am really drawn to the reading threads. Another voice thread I enjoyed was one done by the whole class. They wrote a mini book and took turns reading it in the thread. They also illustrated the book themselves and as the book was read the different illustrations were displayed. This is a fantastic way to help students get excited about reading and writing and allows them to take ownership.
Looking forward to discovering the potential voice threads hold!
